Lydia says the funniest things

When I posted about Lydia's birthday, I said something about how she says the funniest things to us.  Well for a couple of weeks now I've been writing them down.  I should have been writing them down all along, because this is what our life is like always, but I was really dedicated to getting them down the last couple of weeks.

When I praise her for sleeping until the cow wakes up on her clock her typical response is, "I sleep so longer."

We were driving home from Natalia's dance lessons, and she was being particularly grumpy towards Lydia.  I asked Natalia why she was being so mean and grumpy to her sister.  She of course as usual responded with "I don't know." So then Lydia says, "yeah, you are my sunshine (re)member."  Natalia says "oh, you never told me that."  Lydia says "yes, you are my sunshine."

Holding up her legos in a tower shape "I made this for you to share with daddy,"  Me, "Oh it's pretty baby." Lydia, "You're welcome to hold it, if you'd like."

Middle of dinner, "Daddy, I love your kisses, a little bit"

At swim lessons (we went on a different day to use a make up lesson)  there was a "bigger" kiddo there.  Lydia (all too loudly) stated, "Mommy that guy has boobs like yours"  and pointed at him.  Mortified!

She ends everything with "see?" even if it's something she is talking about that she heard.  "I can sing Bingo, see."  And it's the way she pronounces it too, which I can't describe in writing ha ha.

At bed time I was trying to explain to the girls that they can not for any reason go into each others' rooms! (We've had issues with girls waking each other up way too early, and having cranky girls by late afternoon.)  Anyway, Lydia interrupted me, "mommy mommy!!"  Yes, Lydia?  "mommy your nails are beautiful"  (I had just painted them that afternoon, so sweet of her to notice ha ha)

This little girl definitely marches to the beat of her own drum. She's ok with doing her own thing in big crowds.  She's every parent's dream as far as being such a great little kiddo, terrible twos/threes?? Not her.  She can melt down from time to time, but it's nothing like what Natalia used to do and it's usually because she's just tired.  Otherwise she's a little sweet heart.   Now just some funny pictures of this cutie.

My aunt who lives in Oregon sent money for us to get Lydia a belated birthday present.  I had been eyeing these shoes at Kohl's for a while, but seriously couldn't justify the cost. One niece had them and my other got them for Christmas and I felt awful that Lydia (the one who is really really obsessed with Elsa) didn't have them.  So thankfully my aunt sent the money, and I couldn't think of anything else to buy with them because, let's face it, this girl is spoiled and just had Christmas.  ha ha ha.  She was SO EXCITED, her response "Frozen shoes! I've always wanted them"   And you know what? She wears them all the time, not just for dress up, so maybe the cost was justifiable after all? ha ha ha

Oh you know just watching a show.  How is this even comfortable?!?!?

The boobs thing is hilarious! These are so cute. Of course, I'm also interested in hearing more about this cow clock. :)
