23 Weeks with little updates

I know I said I would do my updates on even weeks but yesterday was kind of a big deal... I got to see little sister move for the first time through my belly! I've been feeling her for a while now, and a lot more often which is so nice. Of course she still stops moving every time I put Charlie's hand on my belly. Yesterday she played her same old tricks and when I freaked out because I could see her kicks he stopped what he was doing to watch and she quit moving.

Ladies and gentlemen, I believe we have chosen a name!! Charlie brought it up to me the other night and at first I was like, yeah I like it but meh... but after a few minutes of thinking about it I really started to like it. It wasn't an "ah ha this is it" moment like we had with Natalia, which I think I've been waiting for. But, it's a name that fits all my requirements, and both of us like it. Plus, now that we have this name I've compared every other name to it. Her middle name is still up in the air, we've been tossing a couple of options around. We want to use Charlie's mom's middle name in some form, she has two, so I think now we might wait to meet baby sister to see which one goes better. Do you want to know her possible name???

Drum roll please....

Lydia!

How pretty is that? It ends in an a, it's not in the top 100 (#127 in fact), it's Greek like my name; it means Beautiful. I think it's pretty perfect. =)

Ok, a not so pretty pregnancy subject. If you don't want to read about boobs please skip this paragraph and move onto the next one. ;) But seriously, when are they going to STOP GROWING!! I've already surpassed the largest I was with Natalia and that was with milk... I still am huge without milk this time around. How big are they going to be with milk??? SHEESH!! How is it that some peoples boobs don't grow, but other's get the porno size boobs like me? I mean seriously, it's not like they stay huge either they just get stretched out and floppy! GROSS! I would never want to be this size on a non preggo day anyway. It's absolutely ridiculous. To be honest I find them nasty and miss my little boobs! ;) They are so gross and sweaty and don't fit into anything. I just bought bras like two months ago too. I should have just worn my nursing bras since they were the same size, but those are just so unsupportive I wanted something with under wire. Now I feel like I've outgrown those and need a bigger size already. But I refuse to buy new ones yet again only to grow out of them yet again. So I'm going to deal as long as I can and then when I buy new ones I'll buy them slightly big to hopefully accommodate milk... UGH!!!

In other news, Natalia's canines are finally coming in! I've been waiting for those suckers to break through and I've thought they were coming in before. Now I know for sure they are through, one has already cut and the other three are really swollen around the gums. Must have been why she's been messing with her sleep schedule and been super snugly/cranky lately. Some mornings she's been up at 6am ready for the day, no matter what time she went to bed or how many times she woke up during the night. UGH! but she's slowly going back to 8am. Her naps have been awful too. This kiddo was so predictable, she would sleep 2-3 hours for her nap and wake up totally happy and talkative in her crib. But lately it's been maybe and hour and a half if I'm lucky and she wakes up crying and screaming. So I know she's still tired but there's nothing I can do to get her to go back to sleep. Well, yesterday must have really wore her out! She got up at 6am, but I put her back in bed with some milk and she went back to sleep until about 7:15am. Then she took her nap from about 1:15pm to almost 5pm!!! She must have been EXHAUSTED! Even normal naps don't last that long. =) She woke up at 7am today, but I almost expected that. She went to bed late last night since her nap went for so long and of course because she went to bed late she doesn't sleep in. Oh well, maybe swimming lessons will wear her out enough to get another good nap in today too.

So I used to do all my grocery shopping on Mondays, which has gotten to be difficult with swimming lessons in the mornings now. But on top of that Natalia has decided to be a big girl and doesn't really care to ride in the cart anymore. So a grocery store trip really wears me out now and takes a lot longer then it should. We tried something new and went Sunday morning with Charlie instead. It meant I had to be on top of my coupons and get everything ready Sat so that Sun I could get my papers and immediately cut what I needed... but it really worked out. He was able to either push the cart and I would wrangle her or he would carry her and I could push the cart. So I think we'll start going Sunday mornings instead and see how it goes the next few weeks!

I still can't get over how big and grown up Natalia seems all the sudden. She talks so much more and communicates so much better. She surprises me all the time with new words too. When she hears someone sneeze she says Bless you, how cute is that? Last night her tush was a little red from a poopie diaper and she said, "it hurts" I mean seriously where does she learn this stuff! he he he She just loves loves loves her swim lessons. She gets so excited when the teacher talks about each of our activities. Last week at one point the teacher asked if we were all ready for the balls, and Natalia's screams out READY and starts kicking away. It was so stinking cute. I'm so glad she enjoys her classes and wish I would have done this sooner. If she still likes it at the end of the summer session in August we've talked about ways to make the Fall session work, since I can't go to all of them once baby sister is here. If we can't make the fall work we'll definitely sign her up for spring though!

Ok, I guess that's enough for now. Really should go eat something and get our day going so we can go to class.

I noticed yesterday how older she seemed. she was talking a lot more and its wasn't "natalia speak". its so funny how growth spurts work, one day they just conquer another thing and you're left wondering how they did it and where your little baby went. :)
