15 years later

This was May 1, 1999.  Exactly 15 years ago.

Look how far we've come over the last 15 years!!  Which only reminds me how old we really are, I'm turning 33 in ten days folks.  YIKES! If someone had told me in that moment that 15 years later we would be married with three little ones I would have laughed because I was just so excited to attend Prom I wasn't thinking that far into the future! So Charlie's friend Josh (third from the left) is the one that had the twin boys a little over a month before Quinton was born, and his friend Alex (first on the left) is the one that had a little boy a few days before us.

I can't believe it's already May!  Seriously guys, where did March and April go?  Oh yeah... my sleep deprived self was only just barely functioning the last few weeks.  I'm still completely overwhelmed and completely exhausted but at the same time feel like maybe I'm starting to get the hang of it.  Quinton is starting to form a schedule during the day and we're starting to catch on to the whole three nap thing.  My pumping days are over, so I feel like I've gained back all that time too.  It was bitter sweet in that I'm so extremely excited to be done pumping but at the same time realizing I'll probably never ever do that again is kind of sad.  I'm 99.99% sure we are done with kiddos, but every once and a while I get that little tug at my heartstrings realizing these are my last first smiles, my last first coos etc.  He's currently on the dairy sensitive formula and just teeny tiny amounts of breast milk as he can tolerate it.   Therefore my supply in the freezer will hopefully last longer.  Gas wise it seems to make a big difference though, so in the long run I know that formula was the better choice for him.  I couldn't seem to fine tune my diet enough for him to keep going on my milk, sad but true.  So we'll just use what he can take, and hopefully around 6 months when his digestive system changes (that's when he can start solids as well) he'll be able to tolerate more of my milk.

Speaking of first smiles!
Last week I had a horrible cold and was feeling pretty sorry for myself and all sorts of weepy.... then this little guy decided to make it all better and give me some of his first smiles.  I could tell he was on the verge of it so I always made sure to have my phone handy for a photo opp, so I was able to capture those first ones!

Our Easter was fabulous, and so laid back.  Girls woke up to their baskets in the morning and then got all dolled up.  Quinton had a fancy shmancy outfit as well, and looked too cute.  We had lunch here with Charlies family and it was really nice.  After naps we went over to my grandmas for a visit.  We never got around to doing an Easter Egg hunt, so Monday while I was making dinner Charlie hid a bunch of eggs I had filled for the girls and they got to do their hunt.

Natalia's dance recital is coming up, the day before my bday/mother's day.  Oh boy am I so excited for it!!!
Natalia at Practice *My mom has to miss the recital so I recorded (click on the link) Natalia at practice last week.  =)   The Minnie Mouse costumes they will be wearing, they tried them on a couple of weeks ago.

I hope you all can forgive my lack of posts lately.  If you are on Facebook or Instagram I'm much better at posting pictures and updates there.
A shopping trip to Costco with Grandma:
I guess she got asked a lot what isle the cute kids can be found on.  =)

Natalia's newest obsession, wearing our t-shirts as jammie shirts.  The other day she decided to accessorize with my hat, scarf, and boots.
When I was trying to find that prom picture for throw back Thursday I found this beauty, now I see where Natalia gets her fashion sense from. ;)

Lydia has a slight obsession with chapstick...

We LOVE LOVE LOVE our playdates with the Evermans!

Lydia, "Look mommy, I have fancy hair, is so stywish"

Lydia's first solo swim lesson! She did amazing!

Just when I think we are done with the drawing on the wall phase with Natalia, she goes and writes "Jude" on the wall.  I made her clean it up but just had to take a picture of it.  Sadly this isn't the first time Judes name has ended up on something, she also wrote it on her dresser a few weeks ago.

Alrighty then, that should do as a sufficient update on us lately. ;)  Next week Quinton will be two months old and has his two month check up.  Will be sure to do an update for him then.
