Natalia and baby food

Well we had her six month check up on Tuesday. She is a big and healthy baby, 16lbs 14oz and 27 inches long. In the 90th percentile for everything. Dr. Jambura said he wasn't worried because she has always been in the upper percentiles and is growing consistently. She got her shots which is always tough. After a quick snooze in the afternoon though she seemed to be her happy self again. Hopefully that was it and we won't have cranky Natalia all week like the past two times we've had shots done. We got the go ahead for giving her baby food too. She has been eating rice cereal and oatmeal cereal the past few weeks and has shown such an interest in food. So last night we gave it a go, starting with sweet potatoes. She seemed to not like it at first then ate a ton of it. All the while making funny faces and doing a little shimmy after bites. It was pretty funny. We of course took pictures and a video of it.

I tried to upload a video this time, but I think it's too long, it wouldn't upload. So the pictures will have to do. It was pretty close to bed time though, and I think it upset her belly. We had a rough time getting settled down for sleep last night. Although now after the night we had, it could have also been her getting sick again! Seriously we just did this, she just got over a cold and a double ear infection. She has major snot nose, and it was so stuffed last night. She is such a pacifier baby, so she was struggling with the stuffy nose and trying to breath. Poor baby. Hopefully we can get some good naps in today. =)

I'll be posting a lot over the next few days. We are still busy busy bees! Tonight is Grandma Debra's pinning ceremony. She is graduating with her RN! WOO HOO for Grandma, we're so proud of her!!! Tomorrow night is date night for Charlie and me, his work Christmas party is being held at a Steelheads game. And, then of course Christmas next week!!
