Camping at the sand dunes

The girls have never been camping and hear about all the boys trips camping... so Natalia started asking when we could go.  I'm really not a camper, my idea of camping involves an RV.  I used to go to girls camp for church every summer, but the actual aspect of sleeping in a tent outside was always hard for me and I never got much sleep.  Anyway, my mom and her husband bought a fifth wheel trailer that's super nice so they drove it up here and we all met up at Bruneau Sand Dunes.  We had a blast, the girls got super dirty and didn't care.  Natalia slept in the trailer with Quinton and myself.  I was worried about how he'd do and he did awesome!  Lydia was super brave and slept in the tent with Charlie.  It didn't even cross her mind to sleep in the trailer with me, and when I told her that's where Natalia was going to be she was very adamant that she was going to sleep in the tent with daddy.  Charlie said she did awesome out there with him and slept the whole night.  Quinton woke up once and cried for a little bit, he settled down quickly but then couldn't seem to decide how to sleep.  He squirmed all over me snuggling up to me and then moving to another spot to snuggle up to me.  He finally zonked out and slept the rest of the night until about 6am.  I got him to be quiet enough that he didn't wake anyone else until about 7am.  Natalia slept the whole time next to us on the pull out bed.  She didn't wake up to Quinton's crying or even when Dexter woke up later crying because he couldn't find his blanket.  She did however have one of her weird giggling fits in her sleep (she does that at home from time to time, just giggles non stop in her sleep and we have no idea why) Anyway, it was a great first attempt at camping for us all around.  We only did one night because we weren't sure how they would all do, but now that we know they are awesome we would try for two nights.  We had to pack up and leave early Sat morning because the weather changed drastically and it was super cold and windy.

Some fun pics:
Getting dirty

Grandma brought easter eggs and candy, and she had the kids fill them ha ha ha.  Then we hid them.

The longest you will ever get a kid to sit still and not look.  They were seriously so good while we adults hid the eggs.

 Eating way too much candy!

Rolling down the dunes, she face planted

That teeny speck crawling up is me, with Quinton in the Ergo on my back ha ha ha
We made it up!  He LOVED the sand.  he was kicking his legs like crazy and he would grab handfuls of it and let it slip through his fingers.
 Cooling down with some popsicles
 Quinton enjoying my icecream cone
 Going for a quick walk

Burning marshmallows

I got to make some yummy smores (for some reason that's usually a HUGE craving when I'm pregnant and I don't usually get to fulfill that craving)

We had a blast and are excited to try again sometime soon!!
